Photo Enlargement
Enlarging your photographs or negatives? Do you have slides, negatives or photographs that
would look great enlarged to a poster sized image? We can help with all of your scanning and enlargement needs.
With the latest innovations in technology, we can specially prepare custom made images (from your negatives, slides or photographs), ready to be printed to mural size.
This is made possible by a recent development of a unique quot;Step Up - Step Down" process developed by photographer Miki Toma. This method allows us to make photographs up to mural size, without a visible drop in overall quality.
The "Step Up - Step Down" process ensures you that you can get from us larger photographs and better overall quality, then by conventional means.
The portrait shows that is possible to enlarge to huge sizes, while maintaining excellent sharpness and color saturation with virtually no visible grain. This huge enlargement, which is printed at 75" x 60" is approximately three times larger then life size (photo B). |
This is a life size portrait (approx. 23 X 18 inches). If you compare it with photo A, it gives a visual ratio of how great an enlargement we can produce. Original negative was B/W 35mm, ASA 100. Lights was mixed daylight with flash.
This section illustrates that is possible to successfully enlarge an image to mural size, and still preserve the overall quality. The actual size of the above section (C), is 23 X 18 inches. It was drawn from the enlarged photo on the left (A), size of 75 x 60 inches. |

No visible grain or pixilation show despite the huge
enlargement. The eye section (on the left), was taken from an enlarged
photo of 75 x 60 inches. It illustrates excellent hair detail and
smooth skin tone. The shadow area surprisingly shows no loss in detail. The
overall view renders excellent quality for photograph size. The actual size
of the section on the left is 23 X 18 inches (same as life size photo on the
right).
